§1Agreeing to these terms
Plain-language rules for using Threshold. By creating an account or using the app or website, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Threshold.
§2Who can use Threshold
Threshold is a team-management app for rowing clubs. Each club has its own separate space: rowers, coaches, and parents join their club with the club's join code or an approved coach email, and a club's data is kept apart from every other club's.
You must be at least 14 years old to create a Threshold account or use Threshold. Threshold is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 14. Parents and guardians must not create an account for, or let a child under 14 use, Threshold. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 14, we will delete the account and the personal information in it.
Athletes aged 14 to 17 use Threshold with the permission of a parent or guardian and under their coach's supervision. If you're a parent or guardian and you let a minor aged 14 to 17 use Threshold, you accept these terms on their behalf.
§3Your account
- Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password (and your Face ID, Touch ID, or passkey sign-in) to yourself. You're responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us right away at the address in §12 if you think someone else has accessed your account.
- One person per account. Use a linked-account switch only for the family or sibling links Threshold offers.
§4Acceptable use
Please don't:
- enter false workout results, times, or attendance, or otherwise try to game leaderboards or records;
- access or try to access another person's account, another club's space, or data you aren't allowed to see;
- harass, bully, or post inappropriate content about teammates, coaches, or anyone else;
- probe, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the app or its servers, or use bots or scrapers on it;
- use Threshold for anything unlawful or for anything other than your club's rowing activities.
§5Your data
You keep ownership of the information you put into Threshold. You give us permission to store it, process it, and show it to the people described in the Privacy Policy (for example, results appear on your team's leaderboards, and coaches can see attendance and tracking data) so that the app can work.
You can delete your account from Settings at any time. What happens to your data afterwards is explained in §6 of the Privacy Policy.
§6Safety & training info
Keep your attention on the water and your crew while rowing — don't operate your phone in a way that distracts you or your boat. Workout data, plans, and any training suggestions in Threshold are general information for team training, not medical advice. Check with a health professional before starting or changing an exercise program.
§7Club subscriptions
Threshold is paid for by the club, not by individual rowers or parents. A new club starts with a free trial. A club's billing owner sets up and manages the subscription in the Billing screen, where the price and the end of the free trial are shown before the club subscribes; any applicable taxes are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don't store card numbers.
If a club's subscription lapses, its members may lose access until it's renewed.
§8Connected apps & services
Threshold can connect to services such as Google sign-in, Concept2, Strava, and Apple Health. These connections are optional, and those services have their own terms and privacy policies that apply to your use of them. You can disconnect them at any time.
§9Suspension & ending your account
You can stop using Threshold and delete your account whenever you like. We or your club may suspend or remove access if someone breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or is no longer part of the club.
§10Disclaimers & liability
Threshold is provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard to keep it running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every result, time, or location is correct.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for injury or loss arising from rowing or training activities, or from relying on information in the app. Nothing in these terms limits any rights or liability that can't legally be limited.
§11Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a meaningful way, we'll update the effective date above and let the team know through the app. Using Threshold after a change means you accept the updated terms.
§12Governing law & contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA. Questions about them, or anything else: thresholdrowing@gmail.com.
